Backup goalie unlikely part of Detroit Red Wings' run at history - macombdaily.com
Nice story on Joey MacDonald. Only thing I disagree with is the sentence that his days in Detroit are numbered with Jimmy Howard possibly coming back on Friday. If anything, Ty Conklin's days should be numbered.
The Triple Deke: Top 20 Sports Network Theme Songs of All Time
Tyler took a moment away from his blogging retirement to write a post. It's not about the Red Wings, but it's awesome. Read it or you're banned from WIIM.

Shooting Solution - Second City Hockey
While we're all laughing at the Blackhawks and their rapid descent down the Western Conference standings, it's important to note they are not as bad as their streak indicates, nor were they as good as their record from the beginning of the year.
Oh the positivity! Some love for the current Blues roster. - St. Louis Game Time
A SLGT article? Why not? Noted Wing-hater Gallagher takes some time out of his anti-Wing-manifesto writing to bestow some praise on the players on his own team.
2012 NHL Trade Deadline: Buyers Or Sellers, Who's Available From Dallas Stars? - Defending Big D
There are still a lot of teams that haven't figured out whether they are buyers or sellers for this year's trade deadline, including tonight's opponent the Stars. The only one I'd take would be Morrow, and he's hurt.

BANNED… jk. It’s a pretty good read, but what it really needs is the music to go with it. :)

not if the music is as bad as the first theme song on the list.
I thought I got beamed to the middle east and Hudler’s harem was going to attack me any minutes for not bringing any men with me. Sheesh, I was terrified for a minute there.

Jakub Kindl received an autograph stick from Philadelphia’s Jaromir Jagr, his childhood idol and a fellow native of the Czech Republic, before Sunday’s game.
"He was getting warmed up in the hallway and I just asked him for a stick and he brought it out," Kindl said. "It was pretty nice. I introduced myself to him."
from the Macomb Daily article.
That's awesome!
It really goes to show how classy most guys in hockey really are.

Really shocking that Jagr would do it, though. He’s been increasingly unclassy since Lemieux first retired.

I read the "By The Numbers" article on nhl.com
It really is a good read and shows just how impressive this run at home has been. I highly recommend it.

get Rich Nash!
or at least drive up the price so someone like chicago or anyone in the western conference doesn’t get him.

rumblings seem to suggest a potential shopping him to the east.
rangers or flyers.
columbus had scouts at the rangers/flyers game chatting with both teams, apparently.

Not going to happen
There’s no way the BJs trade the only star that franchise has ever known to a division rival. Howson has to make this trade to essentially save his job and the team (think the Kovy trade from Atlanta), and he has to restock his team and start over.
If he goes anywhere except to an EC team, I’ll be shocked.

part of me hopes
that Howson sees the writing on the wall and has decided to leave the game of hockey to be a recluse… so he dismantles the team before they fire him and goes to live in a cabin while checking Twitter for the confirmation he’s been canned.

Only Morrow?
You wouldn’t take Ryder? Sure, he’s not a defensive stud, but we’ve got forwards that can backcheck. I wouldn’t be against a proven scoring winger if we were cherrypicking the Stars roster.
I’d take Benn or Eriksson too, but your team would be stupid to get rid of either of them.
No thanks on Ryder.

My team?
You wound me! Red Wings thru and thru, good sir. Anything specific on Ryder you don’t like? Not arguing, just curious.
I apologize, no idea what I was thinking there
I knew you were a Wings fan, for some reason it just didn’t click for me.
I don’t like his streakiness. The guy’s having a great year right now, but he could just as easily have a change of scenery and start trying to do too much on the ice. I’m just not impressed with him.
Although I will say that if the price is right, sure I’d take him.
