Apparently Roenick thinks Kane is expendable
According to this ESPN article, Jeremy Roenick thinks Chicago will get rid of Kane for a top goalie prospect. Would you rather Kane go to another West coast team, or an Eastern conference power? I wouldn't want to see him in the Eastern conference, especially on a team like Pittsburg, Boston, or Philly. I don't think the Wings would entertain a trade for Kane unless Chicago would be willing to take Conklin and a prospect maybe?

Wings still interested in Ruutu? He was injured on monday night and is expected to be out 3 weeks.

I don’t think any team wants Conklin. Probably take a big deal to move Kane. imo I’d say a Rick Nash size deal. The wings will never send away the prospects but another team may be willing too.

What's the scouting report for McCollum look like?
I know he is having a really rough year, but I thought going into the preseason he was considered to have some potential down the road as a lower/backup goalie.
I’d definitely give up McCollum plus picks for Kane, despite how much I hate him.

Last I heard, his NHL prospects are next to zero, especially with Mrazek continually improving.

Could we get Kane?
Is he a free agent after this year? Is he our big move?
No
Kane is locked up for the next 3 years after this season, and he’s not going anywhere. Stan Bowman would be an even bigger idiot than I thought if he traded Kane unless he could get Rinne or someone like that (and I think Bowman is not a good GM).
Patrick Kane is not going to get traded, at least not this year. Besides, he’s had an off-year, so his value is too low to get the kind of return that the Hawks would need to make it an even deal.
Never under any circumstances would I want Patrick Kane on the Detroit Red Wings.
He is my least favorite player in the entire NHL. Classless. Does not play defense. Small. Beats up cab drivers. Gets addicted to alcohol and/or drugs. Just no.
Living in Chicago is great... apart from the Blackhawks fans.

Seriously guys?
Kane for McCollum / Conklin and picks? Listen to yourselves. The guy is an annoying little shit, but he’s a hell of a hockey player, his cold-streak notwithstanding.
Would you trade Filppula for John Scott and picks? Zetterberg for Ray Emery and Sami Lepisto?

hahahah
yeah, Kane may be having an off year but he is still a scorer and only 23. those trades don’t make sense.

Probably why I asked about McCollum
I don’t know enough about his ceiling to know if he counts as a quality prospect

So If you guys don't want Kane, where do you want him to go?
Detroit native deep in the heart of Texas.
And another thing.
Anyone think Kane slightly resembles Bill from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure?

Yeah, I've always thought that too
I wonder how he’d fair in a game of Battleship against the Devil.

That was Death
I will not allow a movie of such high caliber and excellent writing such as Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey be besmirched by minor factual errors!

That's right it was Death.
I remember so little about that movie. Were there android versions of Bill and Ted?

There were TWO sets of android impostors, the evil ones created by the bad guy from ‘Lethal Weapon 2’ and the good ones created by STATION.
God, that movie was such good trash.
