If the Red Wings want to pull above .500 on the road, they're going to have a hell of a test in front of them to do it. The Canucks are one of the best teams in the league and sit just behind Detroit in both points and goal differential. Wannabe contender teams might want to watch this matchup to see what real championship-caliber teams are made of (and make no mistake, for all of the grief about Luongo not being able to win the big games and all of the fun we've had at the expense of the Canucks losing the finals, it's 100% true that this is a team that CAN win a cup).
Vancouver handed Detroit a loss in their building the last time these teams met in December while Kronwall handed Ryan Kesler a healthy dose of hitting. Tonight's game will be physical and will showcase the skill of two of the league's best teams. Let's hope this one doesn't suck.

@JJ: Have they fixed things yet? The Verge is still wonky and WIIM is slow loading. Oddly enough, the commenting system seems to have continued working perfectly, even during the turbulence.
We haven’t been given the true all-clear yet, but this is the first time in an hour and a half that I’ve even been able to get the site to load.

It’s been frustrating at times, to be sure. They are at least fully aware of what the problem is and have taken steps to get sites to at least kind of work. They anticipate being back to full nationwide load capabilities soon.

14 such sites were shut down today and the owner of six of them, a man from Michigan oddly enough, was arrested. Along with Megaupload, a lot of high level sites are really trying to prevent such links from being anywhere on their site to avoid guilt-by-association. Vox has been one of them.

If you think the Pistons aren’t breaking 50 losses, even on the shortened 66 game season, you are sadly mistaken. They’re 4-20 right now and those 4 wins were mostly luck rather than good play. The only saving grace of the Pistons this season has been our youngsters.

I still don’t understand why we didn’t amnesty Villanueva. I understand it with Rip. We bought him out for less than a quarter of his contract value because he truly wanted out. But Villanueva is a fatass anchor at the end of the bench. He’s making $9-ish million to not play.

I have to admit, watching the Wings in 1080p on a 52" screen beats the hell out of watching them in 480p on a 32" screen

although I got my 360 after the whole RROD issue, but have had it a few years now. I’ve had my PS2 since 2004 (bought it used lol) and it still works (the old model too, not that slim crappy one)
