Winging It In Motown Radio: Episode 14
It's WIIM Radio vs Wyshynski, bitches!
This week on WIIM Radio we're joined by the biggest guest in the short history of our podcast, non other than the man behind the curtain at Puck Daddy, Greg Wyshynski. We get Wysh's take on Hockey Day in America, the Red Wings 23-game home win streak, and some of the bigger stories around the NHL these days. Wysh also explains his thoughts on Red Wings fans and their tin foil hats and we dig a little deeper into his "feud" with Abel to Yzerman and the 19. Wyshynski is a Devils fan, so we find out where he thinks Zach Parise will end up next season (Hint: It's not New Jersey). Of course, we included him in a little bit of FMK action starring the cast of Scrubs.
We also discuss the rise of Drew Miller and the return of Jimmy Howard. Plus, does this Red Wings team have what it takes to win their 12th Stanley Cup? What would a WIIM Radio podcast be without a little bit of trade deadline talk? We rank the Wings' biggest needs at the deadline.
So enjoy the latest episode of WIIM Radio. You can check us out on iTunes and download the podcast to your iPod or iPhone. You can also download the episode here. Stick tap to Brandon Langer for creating our intro. Check out his other music on Facebook and iTunes.
Let's Go Red Wings.

Just realized I can download podcasts straight to the iPad, this'll be my first WIIM
But, very time I read FMK, I think “Fuck Murder Kill” for some reason. It sounds like a crime in Demolition Man.

Your version of FMK
Is what you want to play after being married too long. Pretty sure I just laid the setup for half a million Rodney Dangerfield jokes.
Pierre McGuire is a blithering dimwit.
I think the same thing when I read "FMK"
I guess we are just violent people. However, for the Scrubs cast, our version may be more appropriate because I definitely want to kill many of them and marry none.

So I'm not alone.
Wow, that’s me initial reaction to FMK too, which leads directly to “Murder Death Kill” from Demolition Man.

Here's a hint
If you can hear the ocean, you’re doing it wrong.

What if you hear
a mermaid yelling “Fuck, I told the tuna it wasn’t a good idea to visit Vancouver during Hockey season”?

Not an issue
After the franchise wars, hockey was deemed far too violent a sport and has been outlawed, just like salt, caffeine, pornography, and taking Rob Schneider seriously.
Be well.

Hockey deemed far too violent??? I’m trying to enhance my calm here, but it’s just not working.

Great job again guys. Haven’t finished listening yet, but so far (about half-way through) it’s great! I’ll have to finish it later (got work to do).

Should have asked him about Lambert.
Could have been funny and informative.
"Pavel Datsyuk is Magic."
He covered Lambert at the beginning
Really nothing else to be said there. Lambert’s a professional troll who brings in pageviews by being “edgy” and talking shit. There’s not much else to be known about him.
That said, I haven’t completely shut the door on one day asking him to be on. He was on TP:60 last year and did fairly well explaining himself there.

Would be interesting on what he would say. Just hearing it from him would make me either hate him more or less, not sure yet.
"Pavel Datsyuk is Magic."
As a general point, hate him less
It takes up less energy and pays him less of the attention he craves.

I’m really happy with where the team is at, but my feeling based on nothing but empirical evidence but I feel like scoring from the D and the checking lines has covered up a multitude of sins from the first line.
I know these guys don’t grow on trees but how nice would a James Neal type look on Datsyuk’s wing? If Franzen is going to show up every night fine, but between his flightiness and Bertuzzi’s age and inconsistency, the first line is the weak link (relatively speaking, of course).
If we don’t win the Cup I think lack of scoring from the top lines will be why. As oppposed to problems with the bottom pair or something like that.

No one went with Courtney Cox, Tara Reid, or Heather Graham? Utterly frustrating.
Winging It In Motown, Over the Monster, Liberty Ballers, and Buffalo Rumblings!
I'm sure they did their breast.
(Really hope that "utterly frustrating was a joke along the same lines, otherwise I am out of line.)

Hahaha
Not intentionally, but I like it
Winging It In Motown, Over the Monster, Liberty Ballers, and Buffalo Rumblings!
Courtney Cox and Tara Reid are an absolute mess. Heather Graham is old enough to be too old to be my mother (and I’m not exactly Jeff’s age… she could be HIS grandmother).
Mandy Moore was an oft-forgotten addition to the possible F-list. I stand by my choices though.

Tara was still hot when she was on Scrubs though, despite th smoking habit.
Mandy Moore or Gift Shop Girl? Bow chick bow wowwww

I agree with this.
Including the Tara Reid stuff.

I totally forgot about Mandy Moore
I would marry her in a heartbeat, because she’s cute and quirky and could sing me to sleep.
I am friends with a guy who went to college with Zach Braff. Trust me, he’s the one you want to kill.

In my opinion
Drew Miller is a top six forward. I think if given the opportunity he could play really well on the top two lines
Im curious to know what you guys think of Chris Conner and when he will be brought up on a more permanent basis.
If I remember right, they dont want to bring him back up because he only has so many more games before he has to clear waivers if they send him back down?
Chris Conner will be one of the black aces
But I don’t see him getting more playing time during the regular season unless there’s a fairly severe injury bug. His inherent usefulness is part of that.
by J.J. from Kansas on Feb 20, 2012 11:28 PM CST up reply actions
I just thought it was weird that they were calling up Nyquist and Tatar (almost, at least) before Conner. I honestly feel like hes better than Emmerton… or at least just as good. He absolutely has the potential to be.
I think it's important to remember that Conner is in his late twenties.(28 or 29 I think)
So, when possible in the regular season, I think they like to make sure some younger guys are getting burn too.
