Total guess on the starting goaltenders for tonight based on what I think Phoenix will do and what I hope Detroit will.
The Wings have to get their special teams figured out and have to stop dragging games to the shootout. Phoenix is four points and four spots out of the playoffs right now; you know they're going to play hard.

I think he’s only ever had one good year back in 08 for the wings
His career stats
94-66-4-16 with a GAA of 2.68 (17shut-outs only reason it’s that low) in 211 games played
McDonald
23-43-0-13 with a GAA 3.17 (2 shut-outs) in 88 games played
Howard
107-48-0-16 with a GAA of 2.41 (10 shut-outs 5 this year) in 179 games played
So while neither back-up has good career stats McDonald get’s a slight bump since most of his loss’s came when he played with the Islanders in 08-09

I don't say this just cause I don't like them, but...
If St. Louis get in than that statement won’t work. I don’t buy that team. Granted I missed the first six weeks of the season, but since I been watching their team does not impress me or worry me. They have been bailed out by their goalie showing up when they play bad teams, but when against teams that are decent there goalies are shown to be alright at best.
They’ve won to many 1-0 games and have not looked like a good team when face with one of the top teams in the league.
Fair enough. They aren’t anywhere near as talented as the wings.
