Chris Pronger and Joe Thorton. Which one takes home the honur of being the most hated player in the league?

Well that last round wasn't even close. Sidney Christ who was neck and neck with the two in the first round lost all his supporters and no one else (not even Corey Perry!?) came close. So Pronger vs. Thorton it is. One's a giant fuckstick whose made a career out of increasingly dirty plays and patented surprise elbow attacks. The other is a giant fuckstick who leads his team of somewhat lesser giant fucksticks by epic diving and snowshowering the opponents goalie whenever the opportunity arises. Both are obvious HoF players but that doesn't excuse them for being shitheads.

Well obviously I could spend all fucking day posting videos of Pronger being a shithead, but there's no need because everyone's seen them a million times. So I'll just post 5.

I vote Thorton.

Pronger is at least good at being an asshole. Thorton is just a bitch.

Had to vote Thornton

If Pronger were still actually a threat in the NHL, I’d vote him.

Basically, with all of his issues, he’s moved on to my retired Hall of Hatred to sit next to Claude Lemieux for all eternity.

Ehh, Pronger is washed up.

Also he’s in the East, so he’s irrelevant to the Wings. Thornton is far from my most hated, maybe top 20. Steve Ott has to be the most hated for me. The guy is the biggest tool in hockey.

Thorton is just a woosy

There are plenty of those. There are only a few true A-holes left in the NHL and Pronger is King A-Hole. He’s made a career out of it.

I realize he’s never going to be as big of a pain to the Red Wings as Thorton will, but I can stand some jerk diving now and then. What I don’t forget is somebody taking a run at The Captain.

Pronger until he’s dead or out of the NHL.
