The Wings take on a Los Angeles team still trying to save their season and make it into the playoffs. Los Angeles got embarrassed by Columbus a couple of nights ago and still remember the 8-2 drubbing Detroit laid on them in December.
Meanwhile, the Red Wings continue to fight the injury bug and will again be without the services of their starting goalie, their hall-of-fame defenseman, and their best forward heading into this one. Forgive me if I'm not oozing with confidence here.
Detroit needs a win.
