You've probably already heard, but Gustav Nyquist will make his NHL season debut tonight, and since he only has 2 more games before he loses his waived exemption, he's probably up for good. Danny DeKeyser is on long term IR with a separated shoulder, which means 1) We're banking enough cap space to call Nyquist up and won't have to make tough decisions until we get bodies back from injury 2) DeKeyser won't be able to return before December 17th against the Ducks. He's projected to miss 3-6 weeks and I'll be in the corner rocking and crying.
With so many bodies missing from practice yesterday, the lines were an incomplete mess. However Babcock did say he was probably going to have to split up Zetterberg and Datsyuk. Since Nyquist wasn't in Detroit for practice, I'm not positive where he'll play, but the 2nd line was short a player so... maybe? Here are the lines as they were in practice and we'll post any updates in the game day updates post this afternoon.
You know, I invest a lot of my time, thoughts, and emotions into the Red Wings. I use "we" to talk about the team because I've willingly thrown my lot in with theirs. Their ups are my ups, and their downs are my down. When the team and players go through tough times like these, I feel their pain. That's how much I love this team, and why no matter how bad it gets, and how long it takes to get back on track, I'll be right here beside them. Through thick and thin, good times and bad, through sickness and health. This is MY team, and these are MY players. No matter what happens. Now, how about some ups and good times? Please?

Player to Fear: Justin Faluk, because he doesn't have a goal yet this season.
X-Factor: The Red Wings. The Red Wings: can they beat themselves?
Familiar Faces: Other than the Patrick Eaves (who got an assist and had 6 shots on goal in his Griffins debut lastnight) connection... not really any familiar faces.
Thumbs down (One Thing to Dislike About North Carolina): That jerkface "AppState" is there.... jerk.
