"Things are going great, and they're only getting better. I'm doing all right, getting good grades, The future's so bright I gotta wear shades"

It doesn't matter who's in the lineup, the Griffins just keep winning. They lost their leading scorer, Gustav Nyquist and didn't miss a beat. Now they're without their leading scorer again now that Tomas Jurco is up with the big club, and again they just keep winning.

The Numbers:

  • The Griffins currently sit atop the Western Conference with 42 points and are only 1 point behind the league leading Manchester Monarchs who have played 2 more games than the Griffins.
  • The Griffins have a league best 20-5-1-1 record , the best points percentage in the AHL with 77.8% of points possible being earned.
  • They have a staggering goals for/goals against differential of +42; the next closest team is Springfield Falcons with a +21.
  • They're scoring an average of 3.77 goals for/game while allowing an average of 2.22 goals against/game.
  • The Griffins have scored 5 or more goals per game in 11 of their 27 games and have been held to 2 or fewer in only 7 games.
  • The Griffins have 13 players (excluding Nyquist) with 10 or more points. No other team in the league has more players with double digit points.
