Flashback Friday: Red Wings Actually Win

WHEN: February 10 - Los Angeles Kings at Detroit Red Wings

WHERE: Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, MI

WHAT: It's the last time the Red Wings actually won a game. Just felt like it would be nice to remind everyone what that looks like. With that said, it took a Herculean effort from Jimmy Howard and a late goal from Jonathan Ericsson to get the job done. Howard made 38 saves in the win and came up huge on more than one occasion. Pavel Datsyuk had a sick goal... which is normal for him these days. The Kings tied the game in the final minute in classic Budd Lynch goal fashion. Thankfully, everyone's new favorite guy to rag on, Daniel Cleary, set up everyone's former favorite guy to rag on, Ericsson, for the game winning goal with just under five seconds remaining. This game is also a nice reminder of seeing Detroit actually win a game in which they held a two goal lead. Yes, I know they gave up the lead and the game did end up 2-2 at one point, but shut up, the team won. Eventually the Wings will get back in the win column, but for know let's just try to forget what the five game losing streak looks like and remember the good times from their last win almost two weeks ago.
