Somebody help me through this, can anyone figure out this years Detroit Red Wings. Why do they have all kinds of trouble with bottom 7 teams and seem to play great against the top 7 teams? Maybe it is the research they are getting from the scouts, who maybe concentrate on the upper slice and don't have time for the cellar dwellers. Maybe its timing, the Wings are meeting teams on the upward cycle. Maybe it is just us weird fans, maybe the whole conference is experiencing the same enigma except Chicago and Anaheim, and US FANS DON'T REALIZE IT. Whatever, I have been up and down like a rollie-coaster this year, my God, I've even taken to following the Leafs a bit (whack=concussion). I guess the best advice is not to overreact, I notice a teeny bit of seperation in the standings, especially those teams on 3+ winning streaks. Best we can do this year is 4th anyway but I'll take an 8th because there is not much difference between 1-8, and Jimmie can take us pretty deep. Best not to go trade happy this year and hurt the future, it's to easy to make a blunder. Let's face it, our trade bait is not so good, they are more waver types than traders.
