Ok, We all agree, or should agree rather, that Jimmy Howard is a more than capable netminder who has done us well (barring some performance issues in the play offs which I don't think rests solely on his shoulders) and will continue to do us well. With that being said it only brings up the good half of our goaltending and leaves us with the not so better half that it our summer acquisition of Jonas Gustavsson. I had high hopes for this so called "Swedish Wall" but from what i have seen this season, this is a dud signing that will not and can not take the burden of games needed to give Howard adequate rest. We need a competent back up who we can rely on to get us points when Jimmy needs a rest and I have heard no one else expressing these sentiments. Please for the love of god get Gustavsson out of Detroit.
