This isn't a prank or a statement or anything. I didn't ask Mile High Hockey the usual three questions because I had a very busy weekend. I'm not mad at them or anything. I just didn't get around to it. That doesn't mean I'm not going to share their gameday coverage post. This series has been about getting to know our rivals all season and in understanding that they have communities different than ours and that it's possible to get along.
Since it's Monday morning and I'm scrambling here, I just read Mile High Hockey's game preview and I'm going to jam three questions in which are conveniently answered by things David Driscoll-Carignan already said.
1. Hey when was the last time you watched an Avalanche game?
the last time I personally have watched the Avalanche get a win was nearly a month ago
2. Any notable injuries which could potentially turn a guy who shares a name with a squid-faced monster from a Disney franchise into a lynchpin?
Milan Hejduk left Saturday's game with a shoulder injury (damn, rough year, Milan) and did not make the trip with the team. With Paul Stastny out as well, David Jones is the lynch pin. If he can't play, the Avs will need to either make a roster move or dress seven D (PLEASE don't choose option B, Skipper Joe).
3. You guys have any cool nicknames for people on Detroit's Roster?
Great writeup as usual, J.J. Thanks to David Driscoll-Carignan for blogging and by doing so, unwittingly helping me with content for today.
Check out all of Mile High Hockey's gameday coverage. I promise he wrote more substance than I borrowed here.
