Last night I watched the game 7 again.
At 13:04 of the third period a guy in Winged-wheeled jersey with #13 on his back steps on the ice. Circles a couple of eights between the hash marks and the center line waiting for his team to take the puck, swirls below the right hash mark to gain speed, takes the puck at the center line left boards, goes through two Ducks players, absorbs a hit at the opposition goal line to take the puck deep, circles between the hash marks a couple of times while the ducks D wonder what to do, dives on the D man moving the puck and tips the passing attempt, goes on and takes away the puck at center ice, swirls back, accelerates towards the goal dancing around defenceman, center-passes for a scoring chance, recovers the pack behind the goal line, fends of a Dman for a couple of seconds, and skates back to the bench checking two Ducks players in the process and helping his team regain the puck.
And that song starts playing in my head!
And when they show him in close-ups you see him sitting quietly, folded his arms, looking through the camera, through you, somewhere in the beyond, but with such intense like looking at something big and silver.
Thank you Almighty!
For creating this wonder!
For bringing it into the Winged-wheeled ingredients!
For showing through his conduct and ability what it means to be human being!
For revealing what is the meaning of hard work, determination, perseverance and dedication!
For teaching thus how success and greatness are achieveable!
The midget and his soulmates and all the blind fools who ever lay eyes upon him,
but choose to call anything else “best” or “mvp”!
We pray for them, someday to learn the error of their ways!
Thank you Almighty!
For keeping him of harms ways and pray before you to continue to do so, so he may complete his next 4 year contract before he plays a couple of good bye seasons in his home!
For thus ringing true “To whom much is given, much is expected”
