I'm not mad that the Wings lost. No, not at all. I am proud. Proud that we defied the odds and went on to beat the #2 seed and take the #1 seed of the West to 7 games. That's some good stuff.
This season wasn't even supposed to happen in the first place and look what has taken place. New stars have emerged on our team. Howard, Nyquist, DeKeyser, Andersson, Kindl and even Emmerton have all cemented themselves as integral parts of this team going forward.
This was the transition year. We all knew that it was going to be a bumpy ride. I'm not going to tell you that it will be just smooth sailing from here on out but I will say that I am excited for next season. Excited to see what this new, young team can do in a full 82-game season.
I don't think that I have ever been prouder to be a Wings fan. Let's Go Red Wings!
