I wrote a Fanpost a few weeks ago wondering why it wouldn't be, that the Coyotes aren't moving to Quebec.
Now I ask the broader question of why the league plans on expanding. Thirty is a weird number, but I just don't see how this works.
We just had a lock-out because some owners(do we know who they are yet?) don't think they were making enough money and many franchises that are losing money. Even Chicago says they are (though, I call bullshit on that one).
So, we have the Coyotes that are going to keep losing money in Phoenix, other southern teams losing money, Chicago pretending to lose money, and the league wanting to expand to new markets. If anything I'd like to see a contraction and a couple of teams moving North, but I know that will never happen.
So does this all sound a bit crazy to anyone else or am I missing something. Please tell me if I am, because, as I've said before, I'm quite ignorant about all of this. And many, many other topics.
