Detroit, MI - 7pm

Tonight the Red Wings welcome the Bruins into the Joe Louis Arena for the second preseason matchup between these clubs. On Thursday, the Wings iced many of their best players against a lighter Boston team and handed eight goals to their young goalie Malcolm Subban in the Wings' 8-2 victory. The Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Abdelkader line combined for 4 goals and 10 points.
Looks like Boston will get a fighting chance at revenge in this one. Here's the Wings' projected lineup for today.
|Johan Franzen||Stephen Weiss||Daniel Cleary|
|Gustav Nyquist||Joakim Andersson||Todd Bertuzzi|
|Andrew Miller||Cory Emmerton||Landon Ferraro|
|Calle Jarnkrok||Riley Sheahan||Tomas Jurco|
|Kyle Quincey||Brendan Smith|
|Danny DeKeyser||Brian Lashoff|
|Xavier Oullet||Ryan Sproul|
As of right now, it doesn't look like the Bruins lines are available but this looks like the roster that's playing at least. Notice Patrice Bergeron will be playing his first game since dying in the playoffs.
Forwards: Patrice Bergeron, Gregory Campbell, Jordan Caron, Loui Eriksson, Matt Fraser, Nick Johnson, Chris Kelly, Matt Lindblad, Brad Marchand, Reilly Smith, Carl Soderberg, Ryan Spooner.
Defensemen: Johnny Boychuk, Dougie Hamilton, Torey Krug, Kevan Miller, Mike Moore, Dennis Seidenberg
Goaltenders: Chad Johnson, Niklas Svedberg
This looks almost like a mirror copy of Thursday's game, where the Wings will be playing lines 2 & 3 as their 1 & 2 tonight. Neither of Detroit's top pairing guys are going and the backup is the starter. This should be a tougher matchup than that game was, but it's still preseason and we're looking more for development and good habits. Stephen Weiss will have his hands full with top-line duties and without top-pairing backup. I'm not concerned about him putting up points before the real games start, but he's got to be able to play well.
If you're heading to the game, remember that the area has multiple activities going on tonight and expect traffic congestion. Head out early if you want to get there on time.
