GDT: Wings vs. Sharks

Not only will the Detroit Red Wings (7-2-1) take center ice against the San Jose Sharks (5-3-1) tonight, but the team will also take on the breast cancer fight. Between a puck draw, silent auction, and breast cancer pins available around the rink, thousands of dollars will be raised for the cause.

The game starts at 7:30pm and will be shown on FSN.

Goaltender Dominik Hasek will not be starting as he is out indefinitely with a sore hip. Chris Osgood will get the start and Jimmy Howard has been called up from Grand Rapids (the team's AHL affiliate). In order to make room for Howard, the Wings had to place Dallas Drake on the injured reserve. He is out with a fractured cheekbone. Johan Franzen will also not play as he's still recovering from a sprained MCL.

Go Wings!
