Wings vs. Blackhawks

The Detroit Red Wings (13-2-1) would like to make franchise history tonight with a record straight ten wins by beating the Chicago Blackhawks (9-7-0). Two of the Wings' three losses this season have come against Chicago and if Chicago wins tonight, it'll be the first time they've beat the Wings in the first three games since 2000.

It sounds like Martin Havlat may return to Chicago's lineup tonight for the first time since hurting his shoulder in the first game of the season. Wings' goaltender Chris Osgood will get the start, which is unusual considering Dominik Hasek is supposedly healthy now and this isn't part of a back-to-back game situation so perhaps Ozzie's strong play of late is forcing head coach Mike Babcock to rotate goaltenders.

The game starts at 7pm (EST) and will be shown on FSN Detroit. The big news of the night is that Chicago is finally showing their home game on television tonight.

Go Wings!
