Wings vs. Blues

The Detroit Red Wings (13-3-1) open their season series with the St. Louis Blues (7-7-0) tonight at 7:30pm in St. Louis.

On Sunday night, the Wings lost to Chicago for the third time this season and their first loss since October 15th.

"We've been on a good stretch and it's hard to win every night in this league," Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "Sometimes a loss is a good reminder to get you back on track.

"I don't think we had any spunk. They were outracing us to pucks in one-on-one battles."

Goaltender Dominik Hasek should be in net as the team faces off against the Wings' former goalie Manny Legace. Mikael Samuelsson will not be in the lineup tonight as his wife just had the couple's third child early this morning and he flew home to be with his family. Matt Ellis will play tonight instead.

The game will be shown on Versus. Go Wings!
