The Edmonton Oilers (14-16-2) are in town for the last time this season as they take on the Detroit Red Wings (22-6-2) at 7:30pm.
Dominik Hasek will get the start, his fourth straight. He's 3-0-0 in his last three starts with a 1.00 GAA.
A few injury updates:
- Kirk Maltby's back injury apparently isn't serious (according to a back specialist), but don't expect him to play for the rest of the week.
- Kris Draper is not expected to return to play until around Christmas, but his recovery is taking the usual time for this kind of knee injury.
- Unfortunately, the Wings will play tonight without Tomas Holmstrom as he has a sore knee and missed practice yesterday. Mark Hartigan was called up to fill that extra roster spot.
You can catch the Wings trying to make it eight straight victories tonight on FSN Detroit.
