GDT: Wings vs. Wild

New, comments

The Detroit Red Wings (24-7-4) head into Minnesota to take on the Wild (20-12-2) after suffering their first loss in regulation in 12 games to the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.

Unfortunately, Detroit will be missing two members of their top line due to injuries. Tomas Holmstrom is out with a bone bruise in his right knee. He will return next Wednesday at the earliest. Henrik Zetterberg will also sit out. He has had back spasms off and on all season and apparently it's too bad today for him to go out and play. Hopefully by sitting out today and taking it easy over the holiday break, Hank will feel better and ready to play after Christmas. Mark Hartigan will be called up from Grand Rapids and Aaron Downey will play in place of Holmstrom.

Dominik Hasek will get the start in net.

The game will be shown on FSN Detroit at 8pm. Go Wings!
