GDT: Wings vs. Blackhawks

The Detroit Red Wings (31-8-3) hope to defeat the Chicago Blackhawks (19-18-3) for the first time this season. The Wings are 0-3-1 against Chicago. If they win, it would be the team's sixth straight road victory. On the other side, Chicago has lost five straight.

The Blackhawks will be without former Red Wing Jason Williams (groin), rookie sensation Jonathan Toews (knee), and the always injured Martin Havlat (groin). Be sure to check out the opponent's perspective at the SBN blog Second City Hockey.

Detroit will start Chris Osgood in net tonight since Dominik Hasek played last night. Tomas Holmstrom and Kirk Maltby are still out with their respective knee and lower back injuries. However, both are expected to play against Colorado on Tuesday.

The game will be shown on FSN Detroit as well as the NHL Network at 7pm. Go Wings!
