Lidstrom and Sportsman Of The Year

Let's lay down the standard that Sports Illustrated's Sportsman Of The Year selection is probably one of the most flawed "awards" in sports. What little credibility the award had evaporated two years back when they selected Dwayne Wade over Roger Federer.

That said, Kostya Kennedy over at SI wrote a "nomination" for Nicklas Lidstrom that's rather nice. While most Red Wings fans are well aware of Lidstrom's behavior, it would indeed be nice to see him get some dap outside of the hockey world.
