The Detroit Red Wings (41-12-5) hope to break a three game losing streak, their longest of the season, tonight when they face the Nashville Predators (29-22-6) on the road.
Chris Osgood will get the start as Dominik Hasek has a sore hip flexor so the team is taking appropriate precautions. Jimmy Howard has been called up from Grand Rapids. To make room for Howard, the Wings placed defenseman Niklas Kronwall on IR (retroactive back to January 31st). On top of those two injuries, Dan Cleary is out for the next two months due to a fractured jaw.
