After defeating the Predators 3-1 on Thursday night and outshooting the Preds, 40-20, the Wings look to increase their series lead to 2-0 and maintain that home game advantage. The Preds goalie Dan Ellis stopped 37 shots in the game and he was definitely the reason why the game was tied at one apiece heading into the third period. Detroit is 41-12 in a playoff series when they win game one.
The Wings weren't amazing, but they found a way to win and that's really all that matters come playoff teams. They did get a couple lucky bounces their way (ie. the puck hitting the linesman keeping it in the Preds zone and eventually resulting in a Henrik Zetterberg goal), but stuff like that happens in the playoffs.
Today's game is at 2pm on NBC. Go Wings!
