GDT: Wings vs. Predators [Game #3]

The Detroit Red Wings take on the Nashville Predators tonight at 7:30pm for the first game of this series in Nashville. The crowd will surely come out rocking so it's important for Detroit to take control from the beginning and (1) not taking any quick, dumb penalties that could give Nashville an early lead and (2) control the puck like we usually do.

With all the attention officials are getting this series, I wouldn't be too surprised if we see Detroit in the penalty box quite a bit this game. So I believe our penalty kill is going to have to be on top of their game tonight if we want to head into Game #4 with a 3-0 series lead.

And it's good to hear from a veteran that the teams have the right mindset heading into this game and that they know this series is far from over:

"You can't get content right now," Kris Draper said. "We did this last year against Calgary, we were up 2-0, it looked like we were controlling the series and the next thing you know we're in Game 6 and we have to win in double overtime, that's how quickly things turn here. The experience of going through something like that, we have to draw on that."

The game is at 7:30pm and will be on FSN Detroit for those of us in southeast Michigan. For the rest, Versus will carry the game.
