If I had to sum up this game in one word, it'd simply be frustrating. The 5-3 loss was just that, frustrating.
Detroit had a 2-0 halfway through the game and they regained the lead on a timely Pavel Datsyuk goal to go up 3-2 in the early parts of the third.
Within nine seconds, the Predators scored two goals in the third period to earn the lead. That's three times this series that Detroit has allowed two goals within a span of two minutes. During the entire regular season, that only happened a total of 11 times. Yeah, it's frustrating.
So now instead of going up 3-0, the Wings just have a slim 2-1 series lead. I didn't expect the Wings to sweep so this isn't the end of the world, it's just frustrating to see your team blow a lead twice in one game and to allow two goals in nine frickin' seconds.
The team decided not to practice today and instead just had a team meeting. Hopefully the team will think about their effort in the last five minutes of the game and with a day off, will come out firing on all cylinders tomorrow night.
