The Detroit Red Wings (49-19-9) host the Minnesota Wild (37-32-9) in a rare matinee game with the hopes of snapping a three-game losing streak. In addition to grabbing their first win in four games, the Wings could finally notch their 50th win of the season for the fourth straight year.
Chris Osgood will start in goal today and head coach Mike Babcock named him the starter for the postseason. The Wings will be a bit short today with injuries, including Brian Rafalski (groin), Andreas Lilja (concussion) and Tomas Kopecky (shoulder).
