After all the waiting and all the speculation and prophesizing and what have you, the Red Wings season is finally upon us as the Red Wings take the home ice to take on the Anaheim Ducks. It should be an interesting game as a Red Wings fan as they welcome back Jiri Hudler from the KHL and bring Mike Modano and Ruslan Salei into the family. Detroit will have a good test in the first game of the season but the key thing to watch will be how they put pucks on Anaheim goalie Jonas Hiller. Detroit will need to keep Hiller moving and work on stringing passes together to create scoring chances.
Line-ups after the jump.
Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. ET and the game will air on FS-Detroit. Comment away below and as always GO WINGS!
