The Wings look to extend their winning streak against a team against whom they've enjoyed good regular season success over the last couple of seasons. Of course, both the Blues and the Avalanche had winning regular season records against Detroit last season and look how well that turned out for those mouth-breathers. The past means nothing here. The Wild are putting things together and will be a test for Detroit, especially if they can get a lead early.

Wild Defenseman Brent Burns returns tonight after serving a 2-game suspension for butt-ending Florida's Steve Bernier last Friday. While I still think what he did was a terrible decision, I actually want to give him credit for owning up to it, apologizing to Bernier and accepting his suspension without crying about how unfair it was (like Olli Jokinen did). Still, reticent or not, if he pulls this crap tonight, I hope he gets Kronwalled.

CBC.CA has the story that they expect Wild Backup Jose Theodore will play in favor of starter Niklas Backstrom (1.91 GAA).

Here are the lines from the Morning Skate, according to Ansar Khan:

Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Franzen
Cleary-Modano-Bertuzzi
Hudler-Filppula-Abdelkader
Eaves-Helm-Holmstrom

Lidstrom-Stuart
Ericsson-Rafalski
Kronwall-Salei

I figured Miller's two-point performance on Wednesday would buy him another game in the lineup, but the Babcock works in mysterious ways. Join us in the comments for the Game Thread fun.
