Red Wings in Atlanta tonight to visit the Thrashers riding on the heels of two overtime games, but a 5-0-1 homestand as well. Ex-Blackhawks GM Dale Tallon used his new job in the deep south to help his old team get out from under the salary cap trouble he put them in, as he took on the contracts of Dustin Byfuglien, Brent Sopel, Ben Eager, and new Thrashers captain Andrew Ladd. Rounding out the lineup is a handful of promising young home-grown talent for the Thrashers with easy-to-like guys like Evander Kane (who one-punched Matt Cooke last year) and Alexander Burmistrov (who did this against the Capitals five days ago and whose childhood hero was Pavel Datsyuk)

Cleary, Modano, and Ericsson all echo coach Babcock's sentiments that they're fine after a rought game against Calgary and I think they'll all go tonight. Babs told Greg Brady today to stop leering at Marsha and that Hudler's sitting. He'll likely go with the lines the Wings practiced with on Tuesday which were the same forward matchings as the Wings started the season with, except with Abdelkader in Hudler's place on the third line with Modano and Cleary.
