Zetterberg Charity Signing Today

For those nearby, Henrik Zetterberg will be at Hockeytown Authentics today to sign autographs in a drive to get smoke detectors into Detroit-area homes.  Donation of a smoke detector with batteries or the $10 necessary to buy a smoke detector will get you the future captain's autograph.  Zetterberg will me matching all donations, because he's awesome.

The signing starts at 5:00 at Hockeytown Authentics, but get there early, as you have to have a wristband to get in line and those are being handed out starting at 10 am.  There will be a maximum of 400 wristbands given out, so you might want to leave soon.

ZETTERBERG PROMOTES FIRE PREVENTION WITH SIGNING

… Fans can get Autograph at Hockeytown Authentics on Sept. 23 with Donation …

Detroit, MI… Detroit Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg continues his fight against fire with his
support of the annual Smoke Detector Collection. Fans who donate a new smoke detector with
batteries or make a minimum monetary donation of $10 to help purchase a new smoke detector
will receive one autograph from Zetterberg at Hockeytown Authentics in Troy between 5-7 p.m. on
Thursday, Sept. 23.

Wristbands for Thursday’s autograph signing will be issued at Hockeytown Authentics beginning
at 10 a.m. A maximum of 400 wristbands will be handed out prior to 5 p.m. and those who
receive wristbands may begin to line up for the autograph signing no earlier than 4 p.m. For more
information, please call Hockeytown Authentics at 248-680-0965. Hockeytown Authentics is located
at 1845 E. Big Beaver on the northwest corner of Big Beaver and John R in Troy.

As the team spokesman, Zetterberg will personally match the total of all detectors collected this fall.
Together with local fire departments, all detectors collected through this initiative will be donated to
low-income residents throughout Metro Detroit.

Thursday’s signing kicks off the 2010 Smoke Detector Collection, which continues into Fire
Prevention Week with in-game collections on Friday, Oct. 1, against Toronto and Sunday, Oct. 3,
versus Pittsburgh. Fans attending these games are encouraged to bring new smoke detectors with
batteries and will be entered to win autographed Zetterberg memorabilia for their donation.
