Steve Yzerman makes his return to Detroit tonight as the GM of the enemy team, the Tampa Bay Lightning. As a result of Stevie's leaving the nest, this team has become many Red Wings' fans 2nd favorite in the league (something that is very likely to change would Detroit happen to move into the Southeast Division soon).
The Bolts have tons of young talent, a smart and intense coach, and mad-scientist weaponry in their home barn back in Tampa. They're an interesting team. However, they're not as good as the Wings and, as a result of being not as good, they play a system which is controversial for a dumb reason. The 1-3-1 neutral zone trap isn't illegal and it isn't outside the spirit of the game. It's also not impenetrable.
Khan! says Fabio is on the third line and that it's time he proves he can do more than get knocked down while skating really hard.
Comment away and let's go Red Wings.
