SBN Blog: The Cannon Last meeting: 6-5 Det OT win

7:30 pm ET

The Wings kick off a pair of Central Division games tonight by welcoming the Columbus Blue Jackets to town. The Wings are fresh off of the Johatrick 7-5 win over the Senators while the Blue Jackets allowed 7 of their own against the Blackhawks. The Red Wings played very poor defensively against the Senators and need to play much better tonight and tomorrow night to pick up the four points on the table.

The last time these two teams played, the Jackets tied the game up late before Johan Franzen won it in overtime, making my trip to the game awesome. Hopefully, the Wings don't allow 5 goals AGAIN tonight or need for it to go to overtime. They're fully capable of dominating this Blue Jackets team, even with Holmstrom, Datsyuk and Stuart out but they need to play smart in the defensive zone tonight.

Full lines for both teams after the jump.

Puck drops at 7:30 PM ET and the game will air on Fox Sports Detroit +, comment away below and GO WINGS!
