SCF Game 1 Open Thread: Bruins at Canucks

Tonight, the Stanley Cup Finals start as the Boston Bruins travel to Vancouver to take on the Canucks in Game 1. The Sedin twins look to win the first Stanley Cup for the Vancouver franchise while the Bruins look to win their first Cup since 1972. Mark Recchi is the only player (on either team) that was alive when the Bruins last won.

Head to Nucks Misconduct for the Vancouver perspective and Stanley Cup of Chowder for the Boston perspective.

Puck drops at 8:00 PM and the game will air on NBC. Comment away below and enjoy the game. Here's the paths each team took to get here:

Vancouver Canucks:

Western Quarterfinals: Defeated Chicago Blackhawks in 7 games
Western Semifinals: Defeated Nashville Predators in 6 games
Western Finals: Defeated San Jose Sharks in 5 games.

Boston Bruins:

Eastern Quarterfinals: Defeated Montreal Canadiens in 7 games
Eastern Semifinals: Defeated Philadelphia Flyers in 4 games
Eastern Finals: Defeated Tampa Bay Lightning in 7 games

So, coming next in the series? Vancouver defeats Boston in 4 games? Sorry, Vancouver. Just jinxed you.
