Saturday Night was the NHLPA's Rock Out the Lockout charity game at Windsor's WFCU Center, which included a handful of Red Wings players. Bob Duff at the Windsor Star has a writeup on the event, while Detroithockey.net's Clark Rasmussen tells about game action and runs down the skinny on the Red Wings players in attendance: Jimmy Howard, Jonas Gustavsson, Ian White, Niklas Kronwall, Jonathan Ericsson, Darren Helm, Mikael Samuelsson, Justin Abdelkader, Cory Emmerton, Todd Bertuzzi, Danny Cleary, and Johan Franzen.
Team White (Gustavsson, Ericsson, Kronwall, Abdelkader, Franzen, Samuelsson) won 17-11 over Team Black (Howard, White, Bertuzzi, Cleary, Emmerton, Helm) in an all-star game atmosphere that featured players taking it easy on each other and, most importantly, a $10,000 check being presented to SPARKLES from Above, a charity dedicated to assisting children with cancer through their treatment.

CSKA Moscow (KHL)
Datsyuk had a good week points-wise in two games. CSKA won 4-1 on Tuesday over Slovan Bratislava. Datsyuk had two assists and went 20/23 in the faceoff dot. Pavel added two more goals plus an assist on Friday, but his team couldn't make up a big deficit to Alex Ovechkin and Dynamo Moscow. Since having a quiet seven days last week, Datsyuk's five points in these two games has him with 31 points in 25 games overall. He's still pulling an average of more than 20 minutes per night and is absolutely dominating in the dot.
CSKA 4 - 1 Slovan Bratislava
CSKA 4 - 6 Dynamo Moscow
Upcoming Games: CSKA finds themselves in a trap game on Thursday versus Ak Bars and then plays Salavat Yulaev on Sunday.
Henrik Zetterberg/Damien Brunner
EV Zug (Swiss League A)
Zug got the best of Fribourg-Gotteron on Tuesday 3-2. Brunner scored the first two of the team's goals and then assisted on Linus Omark's game-winner with under two minutes to go. Zetterberg had two assists, but no goals. Brunner added another goal on Saturday with another assist from Zetterberg, but that was the only Zug marker of the game and they dropped that decision to HC Ambri-Potta 4-1.
Zug 3 - 2 Fribourg-Gotteron (Tuesday)
Zug 1 - 4 Ambri-Potta (Saturday)
Upcoming Games: No games this week in the Swiss League.
Jokerit Helsinki (SM-Liiga)
Big week for Jokerit, even if they're still without Valtteri Filppula and his currently-injured MCL. Three smileys and one frowny for the Jokers this week. Teemu Pulkkinen assisted on the only goal of the 1-0 victory over the Pelicans on Monday. Erik Karlsson scored two in the Wednesday 3-2 victory over KalPa. Pulkkinen scored another goal in Friday's 6-5 defeat of the Weasels. He added yet another on Saturday, but SM-Liiga's top team lost 4-2 to TPS.
Upcoming Games: No Finnish league games this week either.
Braehead Clan (EIHL, UK)
Braehead took a 5-3 victory over Fife on Wednesday. Oh, and Drew Miller scored every Braehead goal in that game except the game-winner (one was empty-net).
The hot-scorer did get cooled down on Sunday, as Braehead lost to Dundee 4-1 and the one Braehead goal wasn't his.
Here's the Fife game highlights. You'll notice #20 a lot.
- Like at the :34 mark when he follows the play and pokes in a rebound (and again gets cross-checked after scoring)
- And the 2:35 mark when he snipes a cross-ice pass into the net.
- And at 3:20 when he helps set himself up for an eventual Holmstromian redirect goal
- Then bankshot down-ice empty-netter at 5:05 is also quite lovely.
Upcoming Games: Saturday and Sunday games for Braehead against Cardiff and Edinburgh.
HC Pardubice (Czech Extraliga)
Pardubice did well on Wednesday and Friday, beating Chomutov 5-0 and Pilsen 3-1. Kindl finally got his first goal (adding an assist) in the Chomutov game and went +2 in the Pilsen match. Pardubice dropped their Sunday match against Budejovice 3-1. Kindl has climbed to a respectable 10 points in 26 games, but still sits at a -7 for the season with 24 penalty minutes.
Upcoming Games: No games this week.
Olimpija Ljubljana (Erste Bank Liga)
Olimpija played Friday against KHL Medvescak and took a 3-2 OT victory, but did so without Mursak in the lineup, who is nursing an upper-body injury. It's not reported to be serious, but it also kept him out of Sunday's game against EC Red Bull Salzburg, which his team lost 4-0 without him.
Videos are available at the Erste Bank website (have to browse for HDD Telemach)
Upcoming Games: Friday and Sunday for Olimpija, as they take on EC Moser Medical Graz 99ers and EC Dornbirn.
Jonathan Ericsson / Cory Emmerton / Kyle Quincey
These three all played in outside leagues, but are done with that now. Ericsson played seven games in Sweden and left for tax considerations. Emmerton broke his finger in his first game in the Finnish league and has returned to the US. Kyle Quincey played with the CHL's Denver Cutthroats on a limited contract before leaving the team.
