Per the mothership:

It appears that the Detroit Red Wings will in fact be receiving a seventh-round pick in 2014 from the San Jose Sharks. When the Red Wings traded the rights to defenseman Brad Stuart to the Sharks earlier this month, the pick was included in the deal on the condition that Stuart actually ends up signing with the Sharks. Now, according to TSN's Darren Dreger, a deal is complete.

If this report is true (and Darren Dreger is usually pretty accurate), this means Detroit will get San Jose's 2013 7th-rounder. Stuart told the press on the day his rights were traded that he had been thinking about San Jose for a while, but that Detroit would be an option if this deal fell through. We'll have details on the terms of the deal when they surface.

UPDATE: Dreger with the details:

$3.6 per is a really good number for Stuart.
