Bob McKenzie: Staal turns down huge offer, doesn't plan on re-signing right now | June2012
Apparently he turned down a 10-year, $60M deal. Interesting. Awhile back JJ proposed a trade to me of that would send Valtteri Filppula + Jakub Kindl + 2nd-rounder + 4th-rounder for Jordan Staal + Paul Martin + 6th rounder. Would I make that trade? Probably. Will that trade happen. Probably not. But Jordan Staal is definitely a guy I'd take on my team.

Let's Go Red Wings.
