An early-morning update on Pavel Datsyuk's plans during the lockout via Dmitry Chesnokov.
It's pretty official: Datsyuk will NOT play for #KHL's Ak Bars and didn't sign a contract with them, per club officials.

Despite the qualifier on how official this is, I trust Chesnokov. Ted Kulfan reporting yesterday also said it hadn't quite happened yet. Chesnokov goes on to say that AK Bars denies signing any NHLers. I guess we'll have to see what Datsyuk decides.
In other roster news, Malik has a report on Jonathan Ericsson's plan, stating that he wants to be able to play on his brother's Elitserien team, but the fact that the league won't sign NHLers without a full season commitment has him waiting to see just how long the lockout will go.
