Game 2 of 48 and the Red Wings already need things to go significantly differently from the last one. Standing in their way is a retooling Blue Jackets team trying to form an identity and with a plan to be "difficult to play against" this season. They already proved that by erasing two one-goal deficits in a shootout win over the Predators on Saturday night.
The Wings have to take this game as seriously as a playoff game and get over the rust very quickly. Columbus is not going to give them the time to work out their timing issues and isn't going to be very amenable to allowing the Wings' D-pairs to practice their coverage assignments better.
It's a live thread. Anything goes unless it doesn't.
Let's go Red Wings!
