Red Wings at Flames: 2nd Period Thread

New, comments

After one period, the Wings find themselves down by one to the Flames. There were too many defensive breakdowns for the Wings against a Calgary team who moved their feet very well and found guys open in the middle of the ice. If it weren't for the Flames apparently being bad at passing, this could be much worse.

FIlppula was driving to the middle early, but seemed to have given up on that. Franzen got a good early push as well, but the second half of the period was all Calgary.

Kindl and Quincey didn't play well. Ericsson got away with a bad pinch and played relatively well the rest of the period. Andersson, Brunner, and Nyquist looked very fast, but will need to push the play better.
