The Wings are down 1-0 after one period but all things considered it could have been a lot worse. The Wings "weathered" the storm but a defensive breakdown cost them. The Wings ended the first period by killing off a Hawk power play in nice fashion and hope to build off that in what has been their best period of the series.
Next goal is a big one.
