2014 Red Wings Development Camp Intro
The Red Wings Prospect Development Camp begins today. Kyle and I will both be providing coverage from Centre Ice. Here's a little preview of who's in attendance.
Looking through the roster, there are a few things that jump out right away.
- Almost all of the Griffins are absent form this list. Alexey Marchenko is the lone Griffins representative, and he's coming off a season ending ankle injury. He hasn't played since February 23rd, so this should be a great way for him to get some practice in before training camp.
- There are a lot of camp invites, and most of them are fresh faces. Andrew D'Agostini, Trevor Hamilton, Michael Babcock Jr, and Dean Chelios are the only returning camp invites from last year. Sarah Lindenau has a quick look at each of the camp invitees if you'd like a preview.
- There are also quite a few players absent from camp that I expected to see. Marek Tvrdon, Mitchell Wheaton, Zach Nastasiuk, Mattias Backman, Mattias Janmark, Philippe Hudon, and Martin Frk, are absent this year.
