Detroit sees Vancouver for the first time this season and the team they're going up against is playing drastically different than the one they last shut out 2-0. The Canucks have won three straight games just like the Wings. Unlike the Wings, they have two straight shutouts to build off of, including a 5-0 shellacking of the Blue Jackets on the same night that the Wings were crawling back into contention against the Devils.
Vancouver is a good team. They're sitting atop what is considered one of the toughest divisions in the league. They score at a healthy pace and have been outscoring mistakes so far as well. The ugly Sedin brother is having a good season so far, Nick Bonino is tearing it up, and offseason acquisition Radim Vrbata is Master Vrbating. They were able to dump a poisonous locker room asscrock in Ryan Kesler, which instantly improved the team's Good Teammates-to-Contrarian douchebag ratio.
This is a good test for the Wings. They haven't won on a Sunday all month.
Have fun in the comments and let's go Red Wings.
