I forgot that we had signed Nosek earlier this summer. It will be interesting to see how his game translates over to the North American ice. After some time with the Griffins, he may be able to be a decent contributor for the Wings.

If the Wings ultimately sign Diaz to replace Lashoff, I am fine with that. But, I would rather have a prospect such as Sproul or Ouellet take Lashoff's spot, instead of a veteran like Diaz.

Last week he was reported to be in critical condition, but, his wife said yesterday that his condition was not at all as severe as reported. With the Canadiens, he won 10 Stanley Cups as a player, and seven more times as an executive for the team.
