2015 NHL Draft: How to Watch on Television and Streaming
The long-awaited beginning to the several weeks' worth of summer that the hockey world is perhaps as interesting as it is in January has arrived. The NHL Draft is tonight. The Red Wings have six picks in this draft, starting at #19 overall. After that, they lack their own 2nd and 3rd round picks thanks to the Zidlicky & Cole deals, but they do have Dallas' #73. After that, the Wings hold numbers 110, 140, 170, and 200.
That is all, of course, assuming Detroit makes no trades tonight. Things could change quickly depending on what kind of mood Ken Holland and the rest of the GMs are in. Do the Wings get a player in return for some of these assets? Do they trade up to take somebody they like? Does Holland pull the most-likely play and move back a few spots to pick up an extra pick in a later round? We'll find out.
