The last time these two teams met, the Wings dropped the Hawks handily, getting goals from both Luke Glendening and Johan Franzen on their way to the 4-1 victory. That was then, this is now. Detroit has lost three straight games and are in the most-brutal stretch of their entire season. The team is looking to recover their identity and get good results with improved processes.
Chicago comes in on a two-game winning streak and having earned 12 points in their last 10 games. It's questionable about whether they'll get to have home ice in what's looking like a first round date with St. Louis for the Blackhawks. It's possible something strange happens in the Central, but things are looking kind of locked down right now.
Teemu Pulkkinen is back. Let's see if he can get the offense going at even strength.
Have fun in the comments and let's go Red Wings.
