Trading baggage: Blue Jackets grab Clarkson, send Horton’s contract to Leafs | ProHockeyTalk
Wow. I never expected this trade to occur. The Leafs dumped David Clarkson's contract while the Blue Jackets moved Horton to a team that can afford to pay him to not play. Assuming that Horton does not play again, I think this was a pretty fair trade for both teams.

Devils trade Jagr to Panthers | TSN
Jagr, the perennial star who never seems to fade away, is now a Panther. I wanted the Wings to make a move for him, especially if one of our forwards was moved for a defenseman at the deadline. It was a good acquisition by the Panthers, and shows that they really want to catch the Bruins and make the playoffs.

Where does the NHL want McDavid to land? - Sportsnet.ca
If McDavid goes to a franchise like the Sabres, Coyotes, or the Oilers, he could help revitalize them similar to what Sidney Crosby did with the Penguins. Or, he could go to Leafs.

The Leafs made another trade yesterday, albeit a much smaller one.

Top 10 big names likely to be traded before the deadline | The Hockey News
The article mentions that Detroit could be a good fit for Curtis Glencross. I never considered him as an option, partially because I am not expecting the Flames to move any players. But, Glencross is a pending UFA, and is a decent depth forward. The latter being something that the Wings do not have a need for.
