Welcome back to the 2014-15 NHL season! The Red Wings restart their campaign sitting in a good spot and the Avalanche welcome them to Denver sitting in a well-deserved spot. Detroit has been hot in their last ten, but are only one game removed from having their asses handed to them. Colorado has won two straight, but are only 5-2-3 in their last ten.

The Pepsi Center has long been a welcoming 2nd home for the Red Wings and I expect that Wings fans will be out in droves for this matchup. Hopefully the Wings can feed off the energy from their mass of fans in a road building and continue to play well. This would be a good game to win.

Have fun in the comments and let's go Red Wings.
